FAQ
Here are a list of frequently asked questions. More will be added later (I'm sure you'll all want to know answers to more questions than are listed here). Please contact me to discuss your case.
1) How long will the website design process take?
Usually, it will be done within 2 weeks. But we aim to please, so it isn't unusual for clients to ask me to change a few parts of the design they've chosen which can add a bit more time onto the whole process.
2) What are your qualifications?
Andy's quaifications - "I've really been a do-it-yourself website builder for at least 6 years. So I learned a little bit at a time. My university degree covered website design a bit in the first year, and I have an A-Level / Higher in Art and design. I also learned to search engine market as I built up my other small business, and I'm now selling my services as a webdesigner part-time to get another income stream. There are no formal qualifications for webdesign in the UK or USA. There's not any associations / unions to join either (which still surprises me!)."
3) Is £99.99 all I have to pay for a website? Any hidden charges?
£99.99 is all you have to pay for a website if you have your own hosting and domain name. I guarantee it. No Hidden charges. An additional £15 a year is all you'll have to pay if you want hosting and a domain name with your website.
4) Do you call me at home?
No. It's all done by email. It's best not to bother anyone from eating their dinner or watching their TV. :-) We can arrange to talk to you over the phone if that's what you want, but we prefer using email.
5) I've saw webdesign firms offering 1 page websites for £250, how do you do it so cheaply?
This isn't my first small business, I ran one for 5 years.I know the best business plan is to find a neiche, I'm quite content taking the customers these webdesign firms turn away as they're only interested in working for the rich and setting high prices. It means I have to do less marketing to get a customer.
